On Monday, we were tasked with creating Christmas ornaments to decorate the Astley Park tree with, so we used some air-dry clay and modelling tools to create Christmas trees and baubles, then let them dry. In the afternoon 9P went on a Weather Walk around school and learnt all about shadows using torches, chalk, and their own shadows on the playground.
On Tuesday, we did PE, exploring and building upon our fundamental movement skills, before moving onto creating bar charts in the afternoon in maths and gathering equipment we needed to play maths games and explored some number puzzles. On Wednesday, we continued with our maths, then in the afternoon, designed our own Christmas t-shirts for the production as part of DT.
On Thursday, our baubles were dry, so we painted them in lovely Christmas colours and glitter, ready to hang on the tree. We also all went swimming again, where we could explore the water and develop our confidence and practice each of our swimming strokes again. Finally, on Friday, we explored the Sensory Story once again and enjoyed Golden Time. We also got the opportunity to hang our own handmade decorations on the tree in the hall for everyone at Astley Park to see! We are so proud of them!
Everyone as had another super week and worked so very hard, but this week’s Star of the Week is awarded to Xander. Well done everyone and well done Xander.
Have a great weekend everyone and see you on Monday.
