In 9P, we’ve been having lots of fun. Our elf has been up to all sorts this week and we have enjoyed looking for him every morning!

On Monday, we finished off our writing on ‘The Boy and the Rainbow’ using our colourful semantics and we have also been practicing our Thinking and Problem Solving skills through a range of puzzles, jigsaws and games.

In the afternoon, we practiced our independence and travel training around school, working on getting dressed for the weather. We also explored the rain and created our very own rain catchers from recycled bottles. We can’t wait to look at how much rain has been collected over the week.

On Tuesday, some of us continued to develop our dancing skills in PE, whilst others used the equipment to work on their gross motor skills.

Then, in the afternoon we enjoyed some maths and counting games and continued work on bar charts.

On Wednesday, we continued with our maths games and bar charts in the morning. In the afternoon, we did our DT, creating a design to be printed on tea towels for Christmas. Then, we did some glass painting to create stained glass decorations.

On Thursday, we had our final swimming session of the term, where some of us listened carefully to our instructors in order to improve our swimming skills and others explored the water and engaged with some water toys to build our comfortability and confidence in the pool.

On Thursday afternoon, we did group and learned all about positive and negative emotions as part of PSHE before some of us went on to explore our Winter theme sensory tray.

Finally, on Friday, we played some games in the morning, rehearsed for the Christmas production, and worked on our writing again. In the afternoon, we celebrated with some Golden Time and Celebration Assembly. This week our Star of the Week was awarded to Holly.

Well done everyone for another brilliant week of learning and self development.

Have a great Weekend and see you Monday.

9P Team.
