Monday we caught up after the holidays, talked about our Christmas, the gifts we got, and the fun things we did. We did Picture News and found out it’s the National Year of Reading. We talked about why reading matters and why it’s important. We deigned a poster saying why it’s good to read. In the afternoon, we played some social games and had a good chat.
Tuesday morning was maths time. We looked at words like taller and shorter than, we went outside to try and find some examples. Some of us worked on area, and others went over perimeter. After maths we did English, we are learning about research and the importance of research. We had to find 5 facts about our favourite thighs. This afternoon we did science, we started looking at living things and their habitats. After this we did PE, in PE we did Zumba!
Wednesday morning we started our day with maths, some of us went around the school grounds measuring things we found in centimetres. We estimated the length of some of the items and then checked it with a ruler. Other groups carried on looking at the area and perimeter of shapes. In English we looked at some writing test questions and discussed how we could answer them we then had a go at answering them our selves with adult support. Another group looked some reading test papers with an adult to talk about how they could find the answers. Wednesday afternoon we had options, some of us taking part in forest schools while others attended M.A.D.D, digital media and humanities. Thursday morning we started by finishing off some of our ASDAN work, and added some of our work into our folders. After this we did some reading. This afternoon we went to Tesco to buy all the things, we need to make our breakfast sandwiches for our enterprise.
Friday morning we went to the food tech room and started making our breakfast butties, we were all given our roles and made 24 butties for the staff around school! This afternoon we had some well being time and then had celebration assembly. This weeks star of the week is Grace for working hard all week and being a good friend, well some Grace!
