8G took part in their first History themed day on Thursday, and what a fun day it was!
We put our fine motor skills to practice by covering our initials with mosaic stickers.
We used Lego to recreate the city of Pompeii that Mrs England had read us a story about on Tuesday.
We made our own Roman shields as well (and will finish these off to be sent home next week!).
Some of us chose to dress up as Romans by wearing togas- thank you to those who sent sheets in to use.
Then in the afternoon, we joined with 8R for a Roman feast!
Lots of us enjoyed being hand-fed grapes and (chocolate) mice by Mrs England, just like the Roman emperors did.
We tried lots of different foods, including olives which some of us weren't so keen on (see the photos!).
We are looking forward to our next History themed day in the Summer term.
