During our "understanding of the world" lesson this afternoon, our classroom was transformed into a French cafe. We tried orange juice (jus d'orange), bread (pain), pain au chocolat and criossants. We used french vocabulary and when Mrs Crouch asked if we wanted to try a food, we responded with oui (yes) or non (no). We then took part in a carousel of activities: making a french flag with paint, matching french words to pictures and writing sentences in french, and finding France on the world map. We had lots of fun. We are going to learn more French words and try to remember where France is on the world map next week.
