Hello everyone,

Whilst at home Mrs Lilley and Olivia have been using some of their time to explore with lots of sensory materials they already had at home. For the flower potions we just used some flowers which had been in the house but were now ready for the bin (or in our case exploring). We have been going on lots of walks so using wild flowers, leaves, grass and sticks are just as fun and can also be found in the garden. In the morning Mrs Lilley and Olivia made Rice Krispie cakes then in the afternoon there was a fun sensory activity of making foam cakes in the sensory tray, there are many fun learning opportunities to be had using wet or dry materials. So many objects are ones that you may already have at home such as pans, spoons, cereals, flour so many simple but effective tools to help support fine and gross motor, communication, imagination just to name a few skills.
