Hello everyone!!
Welcome to this week’s 10G blog. Thanks to you all for continuing to share your stories about what you have all been getting up to. Here is what has been going on this week:
Jessie – Has had lots of fun with fruit. She has been making a fruit tree using paints and different fruits to print shapes. She has also been doing lots of trampolining. It is exhausting but keeps you very fit and healthy – well done Jessie. Jessie has been doing lots of painting this week. As well as the apple tree picture, Jessie has made a wind chime and she has hung it from a tree next to the trampoline so she can see it while she’s bouncing! On Wednesday she was very excited to leave the house and the village!! Bertie the dog needed to go to the groomers because he was getting so hairy. He’s quite bald now, but a lot cooler on the sunny days. Jessie has been very helpful again this week, helping Mum to prepare meals, doing the laundry and tidying up. She is also looking forward to our video call next week.
Georgia has been enjoying dancing along with go noodle and Just Dance. She has been running in the park and doing some of her Hansel and Gretel work.
I like how you have been making playdoh in the sun. Lots of exercise keeps you fit and healthy Georgia – keep up the good work.
Eleanor - This week at mummy's house, Eleanor has been continuing with the summer term theme of Healthy living. She has been making lunch and putting 4 slices of cucumber on each sandwich. Also she made bunting to decorate the house and baked scones and sausage rolls for a front garden picnic that she had on VE Day.
Joshua – has been working hard on his school work. He has just got some sticker books for his good work and smiley face stickers. He has been enjoying watching his tadpoles getting bigger and enjoying singing and dancing with Mum.
Nathan – has been working hard on projects at home. This week he has sent over a fabulous power point that he has put together comparing American Garbage trucks to the bin wagons in the UK. Nathan has been a real superstar these past few days. He's helped Mum with everything and has been constantly offering to do jobs around the house. He mowed the lawn and did the strimming, all independently. He even tidied all the cables and equipment away afterwards. He is loving doing PE with Danny daily, which is lots of heavy exercise for an hour, plus a daily three milk walk. Great work Nathan.
James – Move over Mary Berry!!!! Over the last 7 days James has really caught the baking bug! It started last Wednesday when he was up very early to make his brother a birthday cake. He was a little upset that he couldn’t go to Daddy’s at the weekend but he decided he was making shortbread instead, followed by another cake on Sunday!! He then went through the recipe book and labelled something to make every day of the week. Monday he made pancakes, Tuesday he made dropped scones, on Wednesday he made jam pudding and on Thursday he made chocolate biscuits. If that wasn’t enough, he is now constructing his own musical pipes with straws! He carefully makes sure they all have a different tone before putting them together. Fantastic work James…I love the photos of your baking – especially the jam sponge!
Isaac – Ed Sheeran watch out! Isaac has been wowing everyone with his fantastic music skills this week. He enjoys listening to music and playing his guitar and singing along to his favourite tunes. He is also got the baking bug and has made a fantastic birthday cake for his Mummy this week. Well done Isaac. He has also been enjoying going for lovely walks around the village and telling Mummy about the things that he can see and hear as well as thinking about stories that he has heard and recalling some of those stories when he is out and about.
Ms. Lea has been on a well-deserved holiday this week. She has spent the week relaxing at home. She has been walking every day in the park and reading some lovely books. She is missing you all very much!!
I have been doing lots of baking too. I made scones for VE day and a chocolate cake for my family. I have had to water may garden every day as it hasn’t rained at all!! We enjoyed clapping for the NHS on Thursday night as lots of wagons drove past in a convoy tooting their horns.
We are all really looking forward to seeing you all on the video call on Wednesday 27th May at 11.00am. It will be fantastic to see you all again. If you have any issues with joining the call, please contact me at powella@astleypark.lancs.sch.uk.
