Good afternoon 11G pupils and followers,
I hope my blog finds you safe and well. The weather has been a bit strange this week with the sunshine and wind. One minute I’m in my shorts the next I’m having to get changed as I’m too cold!
Moving on, I would like to start with an update from Miss Armstrong. She said to let you all know Jessa is doing well and Harry has now joined them, and they are settling together as a family of 5. Big hugs from all the staff and 11G families Miss Armstrong!
Next I would like to pass on some information about next week. To raise mental health awareness the school is participating in Mental Health Awareness week. As a school we will be promoting a range of activities and resources for you to try with your child including pebble painting, sensory diets and exercises, nature walks, grounding activities, feelings stories, singing & dancing and yoga. I would really encourage you all to have a go and send me some pictures of you participating. I think we could all do to expand our range of wellbeing strategies in the current climate.
So what have the rest of the class been up to? I have heard good things about a few of our learners. I know that Dan has been continuing to maintain his activity levels and exercise by going out walking regularly – Excellent Dan!
Adam has been continuing to work on his life skills at home. This week he has been safely using a kettle to make other family members a drink. I have seen pictures of him turning on and pouring the hot water. What a kind and helpful young man you are becoming. Well done Adam!
Josh has been in touch and shared some more of his amazing creations. I was most impressed with his maths model – Josh made a cube (3D Shape) out of card and drew spiderman on it. Super work Josh!
I have been busy doing a few things with Thomas and Elizabeth. We finished the tree house over the weekend, and I am glad to report that it has been well received and not fallen over yet! We have also had fun playing superheroes. We made our own capes. Elizabeth declared herself Unicorn girl and Thomas announced he was Super Horseboy! We have also been learning our numbers and writing them in sand.
What’s Mrs Cobham been up to?
Hello everyone. I had a really lovely week off last week and spent most of it outside in the garden. Mr Cobham made a wooden archway in the garden and I helped, it was very heavy, and we had to do lots of measuring to make sure it was straight. We celebrated VE Day on Friday with a picnic and listened to music from the 1940’s. My dad sent me some photos of my Grandad Jackson, Grandad Ryding and my Uncle Bert who all fought in WW2. It made me very proud to think we were celebrating because of people like them.
Stay safe everyone
Mrs Cobham
Well that is a brilliant archway Cobhams well done! Take care everyone & see you soon. MR M
