What can I say!

That was the best Friday fun we have had so far.  The 11G pupils are really getting the hang of our online learning and MS Teams video calls.

Today I was joined by Taybah, Cameron, Patrick, Tanay, Adam and Em.  Each learner was joined by a family member and Mrs Cobham and Miss Armstrong also participated.  We started off with a general hello and every pupil greeted each other.

We then had a small discussion where we talked about what we had for our lunch. It was fantastic to hear how clear our pupils were speaking and how many different signs they have remembered.

We then moved on to playing Kahoot.  The pupils showed a massive improvement in playing this game by logging on and entering their team names instantly! Well done everyone!

The first quiz was designed to sharpen the classes already fantastic listening and looking skills by answering 14 ‘find the….’ questions.  This quiz was won by Cameron, with the Mermaid Team (Taybah) in second and Patrick in third.

The class were well and truly warmed up now so we went on to the second food quiz, which I made even trickier than last week. This was a fiercely contested event, with the leaderboard and top spot changing hands nearly every question. In the end the winner was Team Mermaid (Taybah) followed by Tanay on second and Patrick in third spot again. All of the pupils got nearly all the questions right. Well done everyone.

We spent an hour together today and it was very nice to have the opportunity to chat for longer periods of time.

I look forward to seeing all of the 11G learners next week as we begin our transition activities.

Thank you to all the pupils who joined in today and all the parents who supported them.

Have a fabulous weekend.

See you next week.
