Wow, it has been really wonderful to see you all back in class again. On Monday morning you came in with smiles on your faces and you continued to smile all day yesterday and today., you have made us very happy. 

We are so very proud of you all and we have really enjoyed our first two days back together.

As a year 11 group now you are preparing your own snacks and drinks in class, you all did great at making yourself toast and a warm drink and then you even cleared up afterwards...what a brilliant job you all did. 

You joined in with cosmic yoga and did some fantastic poses and movements to the music...we really enjoyed seeing you all so engaged in this activity, you were obviously really enjoying yourselves and it was a great way to start the morning session. 

During the two days that you have been in class you have done lots of brilliant and fun things....the 'My Family' activity was superb and you all found photos of your own family, stuck them on around a picture of a house then coloured it in...these are now in pride of place on our classroom wall. 

Yesterday afternoon we had a video call with our Bubble B learners and it was great to be able to see them and talk to them about lots of different things...I know you are looking forward to doing this again next week...it is great to catch up with our friends. 

One of the activities that you all took part in was 'Relationship circles' where you started out with yourself in the centre and then worked outwards, writing down the names of family members, then friends and then other people who are in our lives such as the Doctor or the Dentist. This was a very interesting activity to see who we have in our lives and how close they are to us. 

This afternoon we used laptops to make a poster showing what makes us feel happy, Mrs Powell demonstrated  first of all, showing us pictures of her house, pets and family and then you all had a go yourselves. You all did a fabulous job at finding pictures on google then you copied and pasted them onto the posters. You chose a variety of things that make you feel happy such as trucks, dogs, families and lots of other things.

Finally today we went out on a nature walk around the school grounds, we are very lucky that we have got a huge field with lots of interesting bushes and trees around our school so, armed with magnifying glasses we searched out and found lots of bugs, flowers and even some apples which had fallen from a tree. We discovered a big blackberry bush that was at the bottom of the field so we very carefully picked lots of blackberries and Mrs Powell has taken them home to make into a pie...yummy.
