Today Maple class have enjoyed Macmillan Coffee morning in class together. Everyone was totally engrossed on our 'What's in the box?' where we had a 'rainbow tea party'. Miss Melling made rainbow coloured tea and the children watched so carefully as we poured and mixed the colours. We sang 'I'm a little teapot' and took turns to pour the rainbow tea onto a kitchen towel and watched the rainbow colours absorb. The children chose the colour tea that they wanted to pour using a choice board with lots of colours. Amazing work Maple class!

Later, some of us worked in small groups and had pretend tea parties but with real cakes! The children chose the colour cakes that they wanted and enjoyed eating them with their pretend cups of tea and coffee. Some of us used our choice boards to select cake during snack time. Good job Maple class!
