10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1........Blast off!!!!

8G did the most amazing science experiment yet, when they made rockets which, after a few false starts, our rockets actually took off towards space. We were all so excited, as we watched from the safety of the forest school area (where Mr Massey had put the canopy up to protect everyone.) This lesson let all pupils practice their craft skills to create a rocket from junk model parts while learning key scientific vocabulary (acids, alkalis, reaction and gas).  When the models where ready Mr Massey launched them in the safety of our school field.  Please don’t try this at home - science experiments can be dangerous.
