It’s been a busy week in 10R this week. As well as continuing with our English work on the signs we see in and around the community and our Maths work which is measurement, we have celebrated Eid on Wednesday and taken part in Mental Health Awareness Week on Friday.
To join in the Eid celebrations we started the day with some breakfast pastries and fresh fruit which we enjoyed very much. Pupils got ready for learning with some Eid themed mindful colouring. In lessons we learned more about the celebration and what happens in the days of Ramadan before the Eid celebration, by watching an information video and PowerPoint presentation. We then completed an English comprehension activity where we learned more details about the festival.
On Friday we thought about our mental health and feelings. This started with a scavenger hunt outside, were we also tried to remember the sights, sounds and smells outside. When we had finished we came together and talked about how being in the outdoors made us feel and the benefits of outdoor activities to both our minds and bodies. Later lunch was a picnic, but of course due to the great British weather it was inside!
