10G shared their Afternoon Group learning with a focus on the Zones of Regulation. We said good afternoon to everybody whilst sharing our name signs, then we shared which Zone we were in and why we felt that way. We finished off our Afternoon Group with some dancing to make sure we were all calm and alert and ready to undertake our Macmillan activity. Our parents and grandparents all joined in with the dancing and we had lots of fun.

We really enjoyed sharing how we use visual schedules to help to keep us feel safe and secure and to understand what is expected of us. We demonstrated how this helps us to do tasks independently through using a visual schedule to decorate the biscuits we had made. Our parents were very motivated by our biscuit decorating activity so we decided to turn it into a competition. Jane won the prize with a superbly decorated biscuit.

We finished off the afternoon by watching our Star of the Week assembly and singing Happy Birthday to one of our learners.

It was a super afternoon and we are looking forward to sharing our learning again.
