After an action packed fun week on residential 11R were all feeling a little tired at the start of this week, but we settled back with a range of different interesting activities at school. There was a game of rounders were we all had to try and remember the rules, after all it’s been a little while since we played.
The Astley Park School staff team have recently been discussing and focusing on what are our whole school values. In order to listen to the views of our pupils, the older pupils have been asked which values  are the most important to them. To help us decide this, we completed an activity using a dictionary to find the definitions of some of the suggested values, then there was some fantastic speaking and listening in class were everyone was able to say what the values meant to them and give examples. Pupils then put the values into the order which they thought was the most important to them.
It was lovely to see everyone very relaxed and engaged in an art session were we used different techniques to create a background with paints that we then put another layer of detail onto on where coloured pencils were used. The subject was Rivington Pike watch this space for the end results!

As the week came to an end some pupils visited Newman College. They met some of the staff there and had a look around the facilities that it has to offer. In the afternoon some parents came to our Macmillan event were we had a cake sale to raise money for the charity, there was also a slide show to watch with all our Anderton Centre adventures.
