8A have had lots of Halloween fun this week. We used our maths skills to match some spooky Halloween objects to numbers. Mrs fisher brought in three pumpkins so we could practice carving scary faces into them. We had lots of fun deciding on our designs and worked in teams. We did a Halloween playdoh gym to get our hands ready for writing.

We had our own pumpkin patch this week at Astley Park and we went and chose our pumpkin to enter into the competition. We decided to add a little bit of each of our designs to our competition pumpkin. We all worked together to carve our pumpkin. Some of us enjoyed getting our hands in to remove the slimy pulp. We even roasted the pumpkin seeds to have as our snack on Thursday.

We enjoyed dressing up in our scary Halloween costumes.

We have been learning all about self help and independence and some of us have been learning to tie our shoe laces, it’s very tricky!!

Happy Birthday to Teddy and Mrs Taylor on Friday. We had chocolate cake to celebrate.

Happy half term everyone, stay safe.
