This week we had a visitor in school. He was able to give a real life account of what it is like to be in an extremist organisation.
We learned about what racism was and how this could lead to violence and what to look out for in relation to stranger danger and people trying to get us to be nasty to people of different cultures. This included recruitment on and off line.
We then discussed who we could speak to if we were approached or made to feel uncomfortable. Pupils said they would speak with parents; teachers; close neighbours and also the schools reporting system of Whisper.
Pupils were great and asked lots of questions to our speaker.
Well done team!
