Another busy day ahead of us, we all get up and dressed and went to get some breakfast. I think there was some slight regret of staying in the pool so late the previous night as we had some very tired and grumpy pupils (and staff!) on Thursday morning.
Our morning activity was the outdoor ropes. We went down to the sports hall to get set up with our harnesses and helmets, then walked up to the outdoor ropes course. The main purpose of this week away was for everyone to challenge themselves, pupils and staff alike and Thursday saw Mrs Fisher and Ms Carter push themselves to complete the low and high rope courses. Harry took on the challenge of leading Mrs Fisher around and they did a brilliant job of encouraging each other along the way. It was very very windy and this meant that on some of the sections of the course, pupils had to hold on tight so as not to get blown away! Next was the zip wire, again something that a few of us weren't keen on doing but everyone who wanted to had a go. It was very wet and cold so we headed back early to get changed and into some warm clothes.
After dinner we were lead by Lou and Bea on a Scavenger Hunt around the woods and local area. We followed instructions by collecting different items for Lou and Bea to make some natural artwork on the floor and even saw a small waterfall on our travels. Lou and Bea took us into a local bee garden where we got to enjoy a snack and to explore the gardens before returning back to Calvert Trust on foot.
Our final night culminated in a disco in the Games Room and visit from Noah the dog who pupils remembered from when they visited Calvert Trust in Year 7. We got to buy snacks, share our snacks with our friends and listen to our favourite music. Then it was shower and bed ready to come home on Friday.
