Wahooo! We’ve made it to the end of our first term in 10G in one piece!
On Friday we had a special treat and had a visit to Barton Grange garden centre, followed by chippy dinner and finished off by exchanging our Secret Santa gifts.
In the morning, we all climbed aboard the school minibus and Mrs Cobham very kindly drove us to Barton Grange garden centre in Garstang. Miss Holliday brought her Bluetooth speaker with her so we could listen to some Christmas music on the bus and have a sing along.
When we arrived the garden centre wasn’t too busy but there were so many things to look at! We wandered round looking at the incredible Christmas displays that they had and we talked about which things we liked as we walked. We loved the different Christmas lights, our favourites were the ones in the ceiling that changed colours. Outside at the back of the garden centre were three singing yetis who were singing some Christmas songs for us. Before too long it was time to clamber back onto the minibus and head back to school.
We couldn’t have timed it better as when we arrived back at school, so did our chippy dinner! We shared the food out between everyone and it was definitely big thumbs up from everyone, plus lots of empty plates too. Mrs Kelly was very kind and brought some delicious Christmas cupcakes for us all to share for our pudding and then to top it off, Miss Holliday had made a white chocolate cheesecake for us to try too! It’s a good job it was the end of term as we had lots and lots of treats in one day!
When we had tidied up and had some fresh air, the time had come to swap our Secret Santa gifts with each other. The smiles and gasps of surprise that echoed around the classroom as everyone ripped off the wrapping paper were lovely to see and everyone loved the gifts that they had been bought by their secret friend.
Finally, Katie was crowned our Star of the Week this week for her fabulous performances in the Christmas production earlier in the week. Well done Katie!
10G pupils and staff would like to wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and we hope that everyone has a lovely break. We will see you all back in school on Tuesday 3rd January.
