Today is World Hearing Day so we talked about how we communicate in class, with our friends and family and out in the community. 10G said that we talk but sometimes people can’t talk and have to communicate in different ways. Katie said some people use signing because they can’t hear and we should try to communicate with them.
So we learned the BSL alphabet. Mrs Cobham showed us a video and we practised all the letters.
Katie then showed the whole class the alphabet and she signed perfectly. We talked about our initials and we went around the class signing these.
In zones we had a go at signing some of our feelings “happy, sad and calm” and some of tried to use these.
Well done 10G I am super proud of your signing today.
