Our new fruit this week was raisins. Most of us really enjoyed them. We enjoy tasting new fruits and can’t wait to see what new fruits we have next term. On Monday Miss Troughton gave us a Harry Potter booklet continuing our witches and wizards theme. Word searches, design a wand and spot the difference.

Tuesday, Mrs Chaloner talked to us all about Black History Month, This is a month celebrating the achievements of Black people, past and present.

This month encourages people to share art, music, and more by Black creators, and to learn more about significant people and events in Black history.

We each had to think of a famous black person and research all about them on our IPads. Once we had finished our research we wrote down the facts we had found. Some of us found people with the same name as us. We all enjoyed finding out different things about them and shared it with our friends.

On Wednesday afternoon we had our community visit to Asda, luckily we went on the school minibus as the weather was horrendous. Once there we took it in turns to get the items we needed, scan them, pay and pack.

We didn’t have time for the cafè but we bought some fancy cakes to have before we went home.

Thursday was our new Friday this week as it is an Inset Day on Friday!! Everyone is ready for the weeks holiday as we have been busy this half term building bonds with new friends and getting to know each other.

A few pupils have been very patient doing a jigsaw over the last two weeks and their patience paid off on the last day by Harvey finally completing it, unfortunately there was one piece missing which was a little bit frustrating but hopefully it will turn up. All in all it has been a great half term and we are looking forward to what next term brings….Well done to Team 7A.

Please enjoy the weeks holiday stay safe and we will look forward to hearing all your half term news when we return to school.
