Second day done! We’ve had another busy day today and everyone is ready for a good sleep tonight.

Today we had the first day of our expedition, which meant we were doing our walk. After a big cooked breakfast we headed out in the minibus up to a place called Skelwith Bridge. From there we used a map to follow a route up to Elterwater where we stopped for lunch

We then got back in the minibus and drove to Blea Tarn, where we had a walk around the tarn and stopped at the far end to look at Little Langdale, which had snow on top of it! We also learnt about how mountains are made and how they were really, really old!

It was then time to head back to Bendrigg, where we chilled out a bit before tea. Tonight was our turn to make tea so we headed outside to cook on camp stoves. We made pasta with tomato sauce and had eton mess for dessert and everyone said it was really tasty.

We had a bit of a chill with our friends from 10A and 11A in the lounge and we watched Nativity before it was time for bed. We had lots of tired faces tonight and everyone was soon fast asleep, ready for another busy day tomorrow!
