As part of our preparation for leaving school and starting college, we were very lucky to be invited to visit St Michael’s high school for the day. We were greeted by Aubrey the head girl and Ewan the head boy who then took us on a tour of their school, they showed us around the classrooms and they talked about what things they liked and disliked about school. They showed us their timetables and talked about what form groups they are in.

We then took part in a GCSE English lesson, we were learning about how to write letters to the council about things we would like to improve in the Chorley area, we discussed things like pot holes, more green spaces; litter problems and more healthy eating options for shops and restaurants.

We then went for lunch in the canteen and after choosing what we would like to eat, we then sat with some pupils from the school and chatted about some of the things we are looking forward to at college.
