We’ve had another week enjoying the lovely sunshine in 8A. We have been outside for p.e, playing rounders and practicing our throwing and catching skills.

We have continued learning about health and safety this week. We had lots of fun role playing in our ‘hospital’. We had patients, doctors, surgeons and a receptionist. The learners acted out visiting an A&E department at the hospital. We had lots of emergencies including ‘broken bones’, ‘feeling faint’, ‘dizziness’ and cuts. We had some super surgeons performing X-rays, cleaning and bandaging up their patients.

We have again been getting our steps in with a visit to Chorley town centre. We had a shopping list to follow and had to see if we could find the items at a reasonable price. We got some fruit and cereal for our breakfast and some sugar free juice for lunch time.

This week we finished our drama project. We have been learning about The Romans. We performed the finished dance in class, tried on outfits and wore the helmets and shields that we had created.

Only one more week until half term!
