9P Summer Term Week 2 and 3
In class 9P we have been super busy with lots of different activities. Our topic this term is “The Circus” we have been watching clips from the film the greatest showman in our English lessons using our colourful semantics activities to look at pictures and writing sentences about what we can see they’re doing. We have also been completing picture matching activities of circus pictures in the work stations linked to our circus topic.
In our number interventions we have been practicing our number tracing each week. During the Maths lessons we have been practicing our subtraction using cubes and subtracting numbers between 1 and 15 and also 1 and 25. We have also been using the tuff tray and cubes to complete our subtraction sums and using white boards to write down the answers and share them with each other.
In our lessons for my creativity, we have been going outside on the school fields and playgrounds using coloured crayons to make marks on paper. We choose different types of surfaces and place the paper on them, like tyres on the playground and the wood surfaces on the climbing frames. We made different patterns on our paper and compared them with each other. This was fun and nice to be exploring using our outdoor classrooms while the weather has been lovely for us to enjoy.
