We started our week with some maths on Monday morning; we played a game of maths bingo before doing work with numicon. In the afternoon we worked on our enterprise project and created a questionnaire for the staff in school about what kind of snacks they'd like us to sell. We then went around to other classes and handed them out to staff.
On Tuesday morning we went out into Chorley to have a look at different kinds of technology in the community for our ASDAN unit. We had a look at things like traffic crossings, automatic doors and cash machines. In the afternoon we went swimming, where everyone did a great job after 6 weeks off.
On Wednesday morning we carried on with our maths work adding up with numicon and using them to help visualise our sums. In the afternoon we created collages for our lockers with all of our favourite things on.
Onn Thursday morning we started to look at writing reviews. First everyone chose their favourite film r TV show and then we wrote some sentences about why they were our favourite. We also chose a film we did NOT like and wrote a sentence abut why we didn't like it. In the afternoon we headed to Chorley in Bloom. We split into small groups and did lots of different things; we dug up lots of veg, including yellow and purple potatoes, onions and radishes, we picked peas off their vines, pulled up lots of weeds and collected seeds and poppy dead heads to make decorations with.
On Friday morning we worked on our Chorley in Bloom diaries before lunch and in the afternoon we had golden time and assembly. A big well done to our star of the week Millie for being very mature during a change of routine this week. Another big shout out to Chris for helping pack down and set up the hall everyday this week without being asked.
