We’ve had another busy week in 7P this week!
On Monday we spent our morning reading and doing phonics, and in the afternoon Miss Troughton led a music lesson for us! Everyone got a chance to play different instruments, even the teachers, before we used Garage Band on our iPads to experiment with even more instruments and we definitely have a lot of keen piano players in class!
On Tuesday morning we had P.E in the hall with 8P and 9P, and we continued to use the different equipment in the hall to balance, throw and move. In the afternoon we designed Christmas Cards (We apologise if your child came home asking about Christmas, we are aware that it is only September), all of our learners enjoyed this task!
We did some more reading and phonics work on Wednesday morning, as well as some building activities and after this we did some work on our community and who is in our class as we matched pictures of our friends. In the afternoon we practiced logging onto our class iPads, before showing off how well we can navigate our iPads to find the apps we enjoy in school.
After doing our reading and phonics work on Thursday morning, we did some maths work where some of us worked on sequencing and sorting even numbers from 0 to 100. In the afternoon we spent time in our Outdoor Area, as well as looking at our Reading Packs that our teachers have made for us.
With such a busy week we definitely deserved our Golden Time on Friday Afternoon, though in the morning we continued our reading practice and we also did a maths assessment which was hard but all of our learners tried their best.
During the week we’ve continued to access the different regulation areas of the school such as the Rainbow Room, Sensory Room and Sensory Integration Room, our learners have begun to build toolkits of the things that they enjoy and which help them to regulate themselves.
Lunchtimes in the hall have continued, and with every day each of our learners gets better and better at waiting for their lunch as well as waiting for their friends to finish eating before we can leave the hall.
Our Star Of The Week this week is Bobby! Well done Bobby, we’re very proud of you!
