This week in Rowan class we have been super busy!! On Monday morning we have taken part in sensory circuits in the hall for PE with Chorley Sports Partnership, we have been practising our skills of climbing, balancing, throwing, and catching. We have also taken part in cooking where we have been practising our chopping skills, chopping up some apples and pears which we then enjoyed as a healthy snack. We also practised mixing ingredients (flour, salt, water) to make play dough. On Tuesday we have taken part in drama, we have been re-enacting the story of Cinderella as part of our topic Fairytales this half term. We watched a video of Cinderella changing from her cleaning outfit to a princess going to the ball. Then we tried on different outfits, including Cinderella's cleaning outfit and then Cinderella as a princess and outfits for Prince Charming too. Then in the afternoon we did some super number work and singing counting songs. On Wednesday we did our sensory story Goldilocks, everyone listened and joined in really well. Then in the afternoon we have been starting to learn how to use puppet pals, the first step is to practice taking pictures on the iPad with the help of a teacher. On Thursday, we did lots of reading, jolly phonics and sensory circuits in the morning and then in the afternoon we had structured games to help us with our turn taking and sharing, we played bowling. On Friday we did a Goldilocks themed Attention Autism session in the morning where we did stamping bears in paint and then made our own bears at the table. Then we sung songs during rhyme bag time and then had a short amount of choose time.
