We’ve had another brilliant week in 7P!

We’ve worked hard on our daily reading, phonics and number lessons as well as enjoying what the week has brought us. We’ve also continued to enjoy accessing the regulation spaces around school, and in the Sensory Integration Room we are doing really well with following a schedule of our choosing.

On Monday afternoon we had our music lesson with Miss Troughton and our marching band continues to go from strength to strength with lots of smiles and everyone joining in! At this point we could possibly hold a parade through Chorley for everyone to watch!

On Tuesday, as well as enjoying the pumpkins which you can see on https://astleypark.lancs.sch.uk/blog/2025-10-07-14-17-00-7p-fun-with-pumpkins, it was our friend Jake’s 12th birthday! Jake brought in cakes to share with his friends, and we all sang Happy Birthday to Jake. We hope you had a wonderful birthday Jake, only one more year to go until you’re a teenager!

We also enjoyed PE on Tuesday morning, with half of the class working on balancing and the other half working on throwing and catching as well as balancing.

On Friday morning we had a Sensology lesson, and explored with our feet. This week we used the pulp and seeds from the pumpkin that we’d scooped out on Tuesday, and our learners described these as “Disgusting!”, “Squishy!” and “Not nice!”. A big well done to our learners though for being brave enough to give it a go!

On Friday afternoon we had Golden Time before assembly, and in assembly we found out that our Star Of The Week is Luke! Well done Luke, we’re all very proud of you!

Have a lovely weekend everyone, stay safe and get plenty of rest!
