This week we have been celebrating Harvest.

On Monday, we went on a weather walk and collected items to make our scarecrows with. We made two scarecrows, by firstly drawing around two of our friends to make the scarecrows’ body and then decorated them by gluing coloured tissue paper to them.

On Tuesday we each made a face for the scarecrows using paper plates and natural items we collected on our weather walk the day before.

On Wednesday, with Miss Troughton we continued to add information to our Online Safety eBooks that we are creating using the book creator app on our i-pads and then in the afternoon during our textile learning we completed our dream catchers. They look very effective and we have all worked hard with our threading when decorating them.

On Thursday we enjoyed exploring our new Sensory Story ‘Seren’s Harvest’ by looking at and feeling lots of fruits and vegetables like strawberries, broccoli and pumpkins (they were rather heavy)!

We have also thought carefully about the sequence of the story and written some super sentences.

In the afternoon, we added a page to our weather books, inputting the data we recorded last week about what the weather was like each day.

We then created a brand new eBook all about Harvest. We used our knowledge of Harvest and word mats to help us create an information book on our iPads.

Finally on Friday we displayed our scarecrows, along with all the other scarecrows that had been made in school this week and took a walk on our Scarecrow trail around school to see all the wonderful Harvest work that had been created.

In the afternoon we finished off our week by enjoying some much deserved Golden Time and enjoyed celebrating our friends’ achievements in celebration assembly.

A huge well done to everyone for another fantastic week, but this week 9P’s Star of the Week was Xander.

Well done Xander and well done everyone.

Have a great weekend and we look forward to you sharing your weekend news on Monday.

9P Team.
