We’ve had a lot of fun this week in 9P. On Monday, we finished writing our sentences from our Sensory Story all about The Boy and the Rainbow, then we enjoyed Sharing our Learning with our adults, showing them everything that we’d done in The World About Me! We went on a weather walk, learned about the seasons, then created a beautiful season's calendar for 2026! Thank you to all the adults who joined us!

On Tuesday we did P.E in the hall, working on both our fundamental movement skills and dance. In the afternoon we did some Thinking and Problem Solving with some table-top games and puzzles, including some counting and early numeracy involved. We also did some maths where we created our own tally charts about the weather and even transferred the data into pictograms!

On Wednesday we had the opportunity to practice tally charts again to make sure we’d learned all the skills and in the afternoon, we started our new unit in My Thinking and Problem Solving in DT, where we printed on our own fabrics using fabric pens to create designs on school t-shirts!

On Thursday, we all went swimming again, impressing our instructors with how much progress we are making, getting in and out of the pool and exploring the water as well as the lengths that some of us are swimming.

In the afternoon, we did Sensory Play as part of My Community, exploring ‘worms’ in our compost tray and developing our fine-motor skills as we used large tweezer to pick ‘worms’ out of the compost. Then in PSHE we extended our learning on risks and to how to say no to unnecessary risks.

On Friday, we enjoyed the Sensory Story, ‘The boy and the Rainbow and wrote some great sentences. In the afternoon we celebrated the end of the week with some Golden Time and Celebration Assembly.

We are so proud of everyone, but this week’s Star of the Week goes to Jacob. Have a great weekend everyone and we look forward to hearing all about what you have been up to in our Weekend
