We’re one step closer to Christmas, and we’ve had another wonderful week in 7P!

On Monday Morning we did Reading, Phonics and Number work, and in the afternoon we recapped all we’ve learnt in Spanish. Our learners displayed their excellent memories as they recalled the greetings and feelings we’ve learnt in Spanish.

It was P.E. on Tuesday Morning, and we went as a class to the first session where we enjoyed climbing, catching, crawling and scooting before half of 7P went back to class and the other half remained in the hall for a dance lesson. In the afternoon we continued our Christmas Production practice, and it’s safe to say that we’re going to put on a brilliant performance as a class! We’ve begun to master the signing and singing, and after practicing we made some Reindeer Antlers to wear! (Apologies if your child came home covered in glitter!)

Phonics, Reading and Number work started the day on Wednesday Morning, and our learners enjoyed a range of activities from Interactive Whiteboard games to activities on the tables where they had to use cars to spell CVC words. In the afternoon we continued our Textiles investigations as we explored waterproof materials, and the class especially enjoyed pouring water over Mrs Smith in order to find out whether her coat was waterproof which thankfully it was or we’d never have heard the end of Mrs Smith’s complaints about getting wet!

We enjoyed Phonics, Reading and Number work again on Thursday Morning with our learners showing us how well they are retaining skills and developing on them, and in the afternoon we had fun with a game of Pin The Nose On Rudolph which was won by Jayden though all of the learners enjoyed the experience of playing together and supporting our friends to do their best! We then played a game of Christmas Bingo, before practicing our song for the Christmas Production, our learners are doing very well with the signs for our song however Mr Preece does require more practice!

It was another fun morning of work on Friday Morning as our learners took part in a carousel for activities across the different tables in class, with some children spelling words with letters written on plates, others doing counting activities with cars, some played Pop Up Pirate with their friends and they also had to write the missing numbers on a snake. But before they took part in the carousel everyone had chance to play a game of Blow Football at the front of the room, and all of the learners cheered on their friends or their favourite teacher in a great display of encouragement and friendship! After the eleventh busy week of 7P each and every learner had certainly earned the Golden Time they enjoyed on Friday Afternoon before assembly.

Our Star Of The Week is Bobby for super reading and phonics! Well done Bobby! We’re all very proud of you!

We hope you have a lovely weekend, and we’ll see you on Monday for Week 12!
