Well that was the fourth week of Spring Term 1and what a great week it’s been! We’ve had lots of fun, and have done plenty of learning! There’s been lots of PVA glue used this week, and Mr Preece has relived his Primary School days by covering his hands with PVA glue, letting it dry and then peeling it off. (My hands feel so soft that I believe I may have discovered a new skincare regime!)
Monday saw us starting the day with Phonics before we learnt about Personal Space and why it’s important followed by an Attention Autism session. In the afternoon we did our Reading Packs, and had a lesson about time where we saw how long it would take us to run around the track.
Tuesday morning was Art with Miss Troughton and we continued our work on statues as we looked at shadows, and had lots of fun with using torches to explore what shadows we could make in class. In the afternoon we did some further work on time and this time we saw how long it would take us to walk around the track, hop around the track and walk backwards around the track. We then had a PSHE lesson, and continued our work on body parts.
We had P.E on Wednesday morning followed by Phonics and an Attention Autism session which we enjoyed. We made photoframes in Design & Technology on Wednesday Afternoon, before we had circle time in PSHE where we could only talk if we had the special talking hat and we spoke about our favourite animals.
Some children went swimming on Thursday morning, while the rest stayed in class to do Food Tech. In the afternoon we made brains in our World About Me session, before we spoke about the importance of making sure that we wipe after using the toilet.
After a Phonics lesson on Friday Morning we painted the brains we’d made on Thursday Afternoon, and in the afternoon we enjoyed Golden Time and Assembly.
Our Star Of The Week is Jayden! Jayden is Star Of The Week for being respectful and listening to our Swimming Teacher! Well done Jayden, we’re all very proud of you!
Have a great weekend everyone!
