Dodd Group brave day 1 at Calvert with Mrs Crouch, Miss Mahood and Mr Murphy!

We spent our first full day at Calvert doing some very challenging activities!

After breakfast, we went horse riding at the stables. Some of us were nervous but everybody had a go (even Mrs Crouch!). The horses were lovely and the staff looked after us really well. We played games and learnt how to steer and stop the horses. We then got to groom the beautiful Pepsi!

After lunch we went to the high ropes course. This was most of the learners biggest challenge due to the height. Some of us had a go on the lower course and then had a break before the zip wire and some of us challenged ourselves to the higher course too! Mrs Crouch was too nervous to go up to the higher course but Mr Murphy braved it with the learners. After the ropes course everybody went on the zip wire, despite our nerves. It was so much fun!

In the evening we spent some time relaxing in the sensory room. We all slept really well after such an eventful day!
