Well as we come to the end of another week learning from home let’s see what the Chestnut superstars have been up to …

First up is George,

George has been practising his fine motor skills this week, cutting, sticking and colouring, to make a fantastic, yummy ice cream! He has also been working very hard on practising those tricky letter sounds, singing them in rhymes. That’s not the only signing George has been doing though, he has been joining in with number songs, alphabet songs, and even working on those gross motor skills by having a dance. Super work George!!

Next up is Noah,

Noah has also been practising his fine motor skills on the computer. He has been playing games where you have to very carefully guide the man down the ski slope, but being careful not to knock any cones over!!! Noah got the man all the way down safely, all cones still in place, wow!!

Noah has also been working very hard on learning to tell the time, again finding some super games to play on Education City.

Noah had a well-deserved break from all the hard work and he and his family joined a VE day street party. They all made sure they followed the social distancing rules and had lots of fun in the sun …. Until some naughty bees came along!!! Well done for all your great work Noah!

Last but not least is Scarlett,

Scarlett has been working on her self-help and Independence skills at home. She has been practising getting dressed all by herself and is working on getting her shoes on the right feet. Scarlett has also decided that she doesn’t need a night light anymore, her Mummy is very proud.

Scarlett has worked extra hard on earning her last badge for a very special Rainbows award. There were 12 badges to complete and for the last one Scarlett had to make up her own story. It has taken Scarlett 2 years to complete and she received her certificate and badges through the post yesterday. This is why Scarlett is Chestnut Classes star of the week, amazing work!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and stay safe x
