Hello everybody,

It is fantastic to see and hear that you are all working hard and making lots of good choices at home.

Your teachers have loved seeing pictures of you completing challenges alongside lots of learning activities.

Over the past two weeks Miss Cross, Miss Woods and Mrs Banks have enjoyed a week off at home in the sun - we really enjoyed having time to relax. Mrs Banks has been busy making personalised reading books for some children in Oak and we have been making lots more videos too. It has made us smile lots knowing that your friends and families have been enjoying watching them at home.

Now, Miss Woods is back learning in school and Miss Cross and Mrs Banks are busy learning all about how to video call with some children in Oak; we are very excited to see some of your smiling faces very soon!

Learning from Home - Week 10 & 11:

  • Ethan has been busy practicing his writing and spelling, he has been trying hard to sound out his words and writing down the sounds he hears. Great work Ethan! Ethan has written a letter for Mrs Banks this week on his keyboard and has enjoyed sensory play too. Well done Ethan!

  • Ellie has been out and about, exploring the environment on more adventurous walks. This week Ellie has seen lots of animals, including a duck and a bird. She has even been collecting lots of natural materials like leaves and twigs. Ellie tried to complete Mrs Banks weekly challenge but sadly the sun was not playing out. We can not wait to see your shadow picture when the sun comes back out. Well done Ellie!

  • Josh has been very brave and has been outside in the garden with Noah. Fantastic Joshy! He has helped mummy in the garden and discovered 3 grown radishes, Wow! Josh has completed Mrs Banks shadow challenge with the help of mummy and Noah - great teamwork everybody! Chef Josh has even been baking some cookies, yummy!

  • Oscar has continued to have a great time at home. He has been very busy helping mummy with jobs around the house, completing learning activities, watching videos on the YouTube channel and having lots of fun playing out in the sun! Oscar even took part in Astley Parks ‘I can Sing a Rainbow’. Super work Oscar. Why not watch the video on our YouTube Channel or Facebook page?

  • Isobel has been busy learning through play. She has been showing off her counting skills, sorting, reading and writing. Super work Isobel. Isobel and her mummy have been having lots of time exploring out in the sun too. They have been riding bikes and Isobel has become more confident riding her bike near the road and is even remembering routes. Wow! Well done Isobel.

  • Tig has been enjoying watching our ‘Maple and Oak’ class videos on the YouTube Channel; his favourites are the ‘Jungle Adventure’ and the ‘Walking Through the Jungle’ story. He did super guessing and naming of different animals. Great work Tig! Tig has also been practicing his physical skills, throwing and catching and swimming with his brothers in the back garden! Tig even found time to make some cookies – how yummy do they look? Super work Tig!
