This week in Cooking and Nutrition we decided to try an old family recipe of Mrs Devlin's, Caribbean Chicken and Rice. Our 8R chefs worked hard at chopping the tomatoes and onions( despite not liking the fact the onions made some of us cry) before adding the chicken and lots of different seasonings. We used our hands to rub all the seasoning into the chicken and because it was raw chicken we wore gloves. We left it to marinate in the fridge before returning in the afternoon to cook it. We followed all the instructions and safely used the electric hob to cook and simmer the dish. We did cheat and use boil in the bag rice though. When it was time to serve and taste the chefs gave their dish a double thumbs up. well done Chefs!!!
