7A Bubble A have had a good second week back in school and are settling in to the swing of how things work in the secondary department. Ms Carter's favourite saying of the moment is "but now you're in secondary!"
We have been really lucky with the weather this week, but my goodness has it been hot in 7A's classroom!
On Monday morning we took part in some Nurture time and then had a go at our NEW Playdoh Gym that has been made using our favourite songs. It was really nice to see everyone's faces light up when they heard their favourite song being played. I think it might be a new favourite!
We did a Circle Time session on our likes and dislikes. As well as talking about things we like and don't like, we were also getting used to taking turns again, listening to what our friends are saying and waiting patiently for our turn without interrupting. These are all really important social skills that we often forget about and can be tricky to remember when we are very keen to share our ideas with the group. It was nice to hear everyone sharing their ideas and also to hear of similarities between the groups of both likes and dislikes.
In the afternoon it was our turn to go on the bikes. It is always fantastic to see everyone working together to help one another, particularly Jake this week. Excellent work, Jake. Some of us took turns on the bikes and some of us played football in the grass. And wow, it was a hot one!
On Tuesday morning after Nurture time it was our class video call. We were joined by Megan, Teddy, Daniel, Owen and Annie from home and it was brilliant to see everyone. We decided to play a colour hunt game and we all had lots of fun hunting around the classroom and our homes to find an object matching the colour on the screen.
On Tuesday afternoon we were very excited because it was our turn to play on the climbing frame! We are ever so lucky to have a brand new climbing frame right outside our classroom, and it did not disappoint! We had 5 happy (and very sweaty!) boys by the end of our session.
And before I sign off, I must give a mention to Connor and his amazing drawing that we have used as our title photo for this week's blog. What a fantastic effort, Connor!
We will see Bubble A at the same time next week!
