Hi everyone, another weekly blog and update from staff and pupils of 11G.
We’ve all had lots of fun this week, the climbing frame has been used as have the bikes and we have done lots of walking around the track and playing outside with the balls.
We have also worked hard inside too, one group started reading Treasure Island and used dictionaries to find the meaning of unfamiliar words whilst another group worked on their colourful semantics skills to build sentences about a Pirate and an Island.
We have started looking at an enterprise project, looking at different ways to make Christmas decorations to sell. One group looked at various ways of sourcing the materials and where they could be purchased and then we all joined in counting out the materials into groups of ten in readiness for actually making the decorations. This also helped with maths, fine motor skills and communication skills so was a fab activity for everyone .
Of course on Friday it was bonfire night, so, after a chat about fireworks and safety we created lots of wonderful and colourful pictures using paints, tissue paper and lots of glitter . The glitter made us think about Christmas so we put on some happy Christmas music whilst working and afterwards we found out that another class had heard our music and it made them feel happy too.
Congratulations to Nathan for receiving his digital leaders badge and also star of the week.
Stay safe everyone. Ms Lea.
