8R have had a super busy week this week doing lots of amazing work.

We started off the week by doing some super work on time in our maths. We have all been looking at the important times of our day and making sure we can tell the time at these. Everybody worked super hard and have been using their skills during the week to remind Miss Brophy when it is break time.

Our topic this half term is To Infinity and Beyond so we have been looking at space in our writing. We created some exciting word maps, all based on space, and then used these to write some acrostic poems. We used lots of different words and created some really imaginative and exciting poems. Emily wrote a poem based on the word spaceships and got star of the week for this amazing work!!

In our cooking lesson we made our very own loaded jacket potato’s! We had to be super careful and use a lot of skill while doing this. For inside our jacket potato’s we cut up peppers, ham, opened a tin of sweetcorn and grated some cheese. We then mixed it all up with the potato from inside our potato, put it back in the middle and took them home to eat when they were cooked. Everybody in class, and their families, really enjoyed this weeks recipe.

This week we have done some super fun playing with our friends. We have enjoyed seeing who can build the tallest tower with the blocks and really enjoyed watching them fall down.

We have joined in with the walk a mile challenge this week and walked two whole miles each!!! Go 8R!

On Friday we started looking through our part in the Christmas production. We have used our amazing art skills to make lots of exciting props. We can’t wait to start rehearsing and filming this next week.
