While we are learning from home and seeing less of friends and family looking after our mental health is more important than ever.

This year's Children's Mental Health Week concentrates on expressing yourself.  Expressing yourself can be done in lots of different ways  - it includes  how you look, what you wear, writing about what you think or how you feel, drawing, music and dance.  Expressing yourself in any way that feels good for you helps relieve stress and frees your mind, helping you tackle life's challenges.

Here are some ideas to try:

Make a photo collage about yourself - include your likes and dislikes, dreams, ambitions and interests.

Write a daily journal. Write about how you feel and what you remember about your day.

Put on your favourite song and sing along or dance around the room.

Design an outfit for yourself or put on your favourite clothes and style your hair differently.

Sketch or paint what you can see from your window.

Why not try one of these activities and think about how you feel afterwards?
