This week in 11R the focus has been on world book day. On Thursday we celebrated by having both pupils and staff come to school dressed as their favourite book characters. In the morning we enjoyed designing our own superheroes and creating their story by making comic strips. All our superhero’s powers were based on the amazing qualities we possess and how we can overcome our struggles. 

Later in the afternoon we enjoyed a TEAMs call with our friends at home to discuss our chosen class book ‘Shazam’. Shazam is about a group of friends that gain superpowers and have to work together to defeat evil and protect their family. On the TEAMs call we read through some of the book together, had a group discussion on what amazing qualities we possess and which superpowers we’d all love to have. 
 

We topped off a fun filled afternoon with a whole school world book day parade via TEAMs . This allowed all the staff and pupils a chance to show off their amazing costumes they created.
