Rowan class have had a very busy week joining in with all the sports events.

On Monday morning we took part in a whole school wake up and shake up session via Teams. We really enjoyed following all the moves Mrs McDonnell was doing. In the afternoon we took part in an egg and spoon race. We all did well, even if we did try to cheat by hold the spoon AND the egg!

On Tuesday we had a game of football in the morning. We each had a turn of being the goalkeeper and a striker. In the afternoon we did some circuit exercises and then had a game of handball. After kicking the ball during a game of football on Monday, it was a little confusing being told we weren’t allowed to kick the ball when we played handball!

On Wednesday we went orienteering around the school field and playground. We had to look at a map of the school and try to work out where the different stamps were hiding. We managed to find them all. We are so amazing!

On Thursday we took part in a rainbow walk/run this morning around the track. We all came into school in our most colourful clothing. We enjoyed having a race to see who was the fastest. In the afternoon we had a game of rounders. We all had a go at batting and fielding. Some of us forgot to run around the cones and went running after we ball instead! Rowan class might need a little bit more practise at rounders! It was all good fun though.

On Friday we went out in the morning played a game of basketball. We each practised our shooting skills and some of even had a go at dribbling the ball.

Well done Rowan class for having a fantastic sports week and taking part in all the activities!
