Last week Willow class held their very own awards ceremony in class! Everyone is moving on to new things in September- new rooms, new classes and new schools so we decided to have a big celebration and party to end the year.

The children worked hard with Miss Riley to create a PowerPoint celebrating all their friends achievements- adding a kind comment about each of their classmates telling them what they like about them. We also all voted on a range of awards to see who deserved to win them in class.

During our celebrations we read out all the kind words about the children which had the grown ups welling up! Miss Riley has had leaky eyes all week! The children were so proud of themselves and loved hearing all the different strengths they have that their friends and teachers pointed out. 
Then we handed out certificates for the pupil nominated awards.

Mrs Lane had been very sneaky on a secret mission making a leavers card for Mrs R Smith and Miss Riley from the children moving on to new classes. The children have out the cards and all joined in wi5 group hugs! There were some very emotional members of willow class!

In the afternoon we had a super party with lots of treats! We all worked together the day before in our maths lesson to plan our party. Miss Riley gave us a budget and we had to work together to plan how we wanted to spend it, buying treats everyone would like.

 

All our teachers in class are SO proud of everyone in Willow class. Each and every pupil has been an absolute pleasure to have in class. We can’t wait to see what they go on to achieve!
