What a fun packed 2 weeks 9G has had.

Last week we welcomed a new pupil to the class, Lily who has fit in really well and made lots of new friends. We have been doing lots of getting to know you games and finding out who everyone in 9G lives with.

Miss Brophy read a book to 9G called A Magical Muddle. Everyone did really good listening and remembered all the different animals the little witches had turned into.

9G has also shown their creative side by making some bees with Miss Mahood.

In their golden time 9G has enjoyed the karaoke mic. Great music was chosen like, Queen, Rick Astley and The Proclaimers.

This week 9G carried on their theme of witches and wizards and made their own witch faces, using paper plates, paint, straws, pipe cleaners and feathers.

As we are still getting to know 9G , they were ask to fill in a jigsaw piece with information on about who they lived with, their favourite colour and of course their favourite food. ( one thing the staff has found out about 9G, they like talking about food).

As we found out about their love of food 9G made home made cookies. They were in charge of weighing out all the ingredients and mixing it all together.

Staff put the cookies in the oven and we ate some at snack time and the rest they took home for their family to enjoy. Hope you did.

Finally, 9G was introduced to playdough gym. This is where the pupils followed different activities using playdough along to music. We have listened to the 80s, party songs and film theme tunes whilst squashing, rolling, banging, pinching and kneading the playdough to music which helped their regulation, and them to be ready to learn.
