Sycamore have been very busy since coming back from half term. We fully enjoyed a visit from Victoria Hough a professional artist who came into school to help us create a fantastic piece of art that will be displayed in the main corridor for everyone to admire. This piece will reflect our school's name, logo and our values Kindness, Respect, Honesty, Positivity and Teamwork. We all listened to instructions really well and fully enjoyed creating our individual pieces ready for them to be joined together.

Sycamore fully enjoyed celebrating Diwali the Festival of Lights. As a group we enjoyed making a Rangoli pattern and taking it in turns to add coloured glitter. We then made our own individual Rangoli using coloured paper, tissue paper and glitter they all looked great!

We have been busy being super active, focussing hard during our PE sessions in the hall working on our throwing skills, looking at our aim and our technique. We have enjoyed using the parachute, playing ‘What’s the Time Mr Wolf’ and being different beans, our favourite appears to be the Mexican bean!

In Sycamore we loved our Children in need day, wearing our own clothes, listening to the story of Pudsey’s great fundraiser of how Pudsey and his friend Blush worked hard to raise as much money as they could for BBC’s Children in Need, we enjoyed a game of Children in Need bingo and got creative making Pudsey biscuits. We did an initial design of how we wanted our biscuit to look remembering what colours, ingredients and decorations were available to us. We mixed our own icing before adding yellow food colouring then recreated our design on our biscuit they all looked very yummy.

Have a great weekend everyone.
