Oak class are very happy to be back at school with all our friends after our exciting Christmas holidays. This week we have done lots of new fun activities and have had a great first week back. We started off our week with Miss Hothersall who read us a very exciting sensory version of 'The Gruffalo". On Thursday some of us went on the bus with Miss Melling all the way to Asda, we each had £1 in our very own purse and a list of items to choose from. At the shop we each helped push the trolley, picked what we would like to buy, took it to the checkout and each paid for what we had. Whilst some of us where at Asda, the rest of friends got all wrapped up and went on a Woodland Walk with Mrs Carney and Miss Potter to our outdoor school. On this walk we had to use all our senses to explore our surroundings. We touched, smelt and looked. We had a list of things to collect and we all pitched in and helped collect leaves, sticks and stones. We looked at where some animals may live and talked about habitats. The next super exciting thing we did today was our explorer group had the opportunity to go to the food tech room and learn how to make Angel Delight. As much as we wanted to eat it the entire time we all had fun taking it in turns to pour the milk, add the angel delight and whisk it all together, we even helped put the bowls in the fridge so its ready for us to have a taste this afternoon.

Overall its been a fantastic first week back in Oak Class and we are excited for what's to come!!

Happy New Year Everyone <3
