Chestnut class have had a wonderful time celebrating Easter. We have enjoyed a sensory story, “We’re going on an Easter Egg Hunt!” We had to make our way through the swishy, swishy grass, through a field of colourful flowers (confetti drop) through the mud (hot chocolate and water mix) and river and even through a rainbow (bubble machine) but eventually we found the chocolate eggs and they were delicious! We have been working on developing our joint attention and communication skills as Miss created a shaving foam and glitter egg and flower and waiting and turn taking throwing paint filled eggs in Stage 3. We have been on an Easter egg hunt, tried egg rolling and some us of have been egg throwing from the top of the hill! We’ve made chocolate crispie cakes and focussing on using different equipment to pour, mix and choice making of different toppings. We liked the marshmallows the best! During Maths activities we have been recognising numbers and counting out the corresponding number of eggs.
Happy Easter from Chestnut Class
