For our topic - Around the World - this week Rowan Class have been learning about Italy.

We have followed instructions to make pizzas, used fantastic communication to ask for ingredients and even made a giant pizza during What's in the Box.

We have enjoyed exploring our role play area which has become an Italian Restaurant, selling pizzas and serving them to our friends. During a sensory story about Italy, we played with gondolas, did some spaghetti painting, smelled garlic, listened to opera sounds, used a sound button to help us say "bonjourno" and made towers of Pisa.

We engaged very well with a sound story about Autumn, and we used both high and low tech communication aids to comment on the different sounds we could hear.
