First apologies from in KS4, if it rains, it’s probably our fault, we have been using our creative skills to make rain- makers, and whilst we all had fun doing this activity we would really like the weather to be fine all of this one weekend!
On a more serious note, we all learned lots of interesting facts about Earth Day, the first that it’s celebrated every year on 22 April!
We learned about sustainability, did an online quiz, looking at foods that we can grow ourselves, cutting down on carbon emissions and packaging , we looked at where different vegetables grow and followed up this activity by making our own root vegetable soup, we all agreed that it was delicious and very healthy!
We looked at the Amazon rainforest and the effect of deforestation, on the wildlife and eventually on us, and our predecessors , as it will affect the air that we all breathe.
We all agreed that we should all look after our planet, not just on Earth Day, but every single day!
